Upcoming Area of Focus Courses


Go deeper in your skills! Area of Focus courses offer additional learning opportunities for USA Triathlon Certified Coaches to broaden your skillset and gain knowledge in specific areas. Within the first two years of certification, a USA Triathlon Level I Certified Coach is required to take at least one Area of Focus before recertification.


YOUTH & JUNIOR AREA OF FOCUS

Level up your knowledge base! Level II courses are specialized classes that build on knowledge gained during your Area of Focus course. Coaches must apply to Level II specialization courses.


PARATRIATHLON LEVEL II CLINIC

Location: Hammond, Ind.

Date: May 29-June 2

Cost: $750

Course Description: Gain an amazing experience learning and working with veteran elite paratriathletes. Get hands-on experience training paratriathletes in swimming, biking, running (hand-cycling), and transitions. Learn about the differences and similarities across populations. Seven eligible coaches can receive full scholarships for this clinic, with a limited number of 15 coaches able to attend.

SHORT COURSE & LONG COURSE LEVEL II CLINIC

Location: Colorado Springs, Colo.

Date: May 2-5

SHORT COURSE & LONG COURSE LEVEL II CLINIC

Course Description: Learn and train at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Olympic & Paralympic City USA! Experienced USA Triathlon Certified Coaches will teach the important tools and techniques of training long and short-course triathletes. Train everyone from the first-time beginner to the experienced long-course athlete, or Olympic hopeful. Get in-depth hands-on experience in video analysis, programming, and weightlifting.
