USA Triathlon Long Course Nationals held this weekend at Toughman New York

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — USA Triathlon's 2021 National Championship season resumes this weekend with the 2021 USA Triathlon Long Course National Championships, held at Toughman New York in Stony Point, New York. 

Formerly referred to as the Multisport National Championships Festival, the new Long Course National Championships features Long Course Triathlon, Duathlon and Aquabike as well as Standard-Distance Aquabike over two days of racing Sept. 25-26. Toughman New York will also host Long Course Nationals in September 2022.

The Aquathlon National Championships (swim-run) now takes place as part of the annual Legacy Triathlon weekend, held in July in Long Beach, California.

The 2021 USA Triathlon Long Course Championships takes place at Lake Welch, Harriman State Park, 30 minutes north of New York City. Race participants will swim in the calm, clear Lake Welch, with the bike course taking athletes on moderately-hilly tour of Harriman State Park. The run course finishes with a challenging hill.

Olympic-distance Aquabike participants will race a 1.5-kilometer swim and 40k bike. Long Course Triathlon participants will race a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike and 13.1-mile run. Long Course Aquabike participants will race a 1.2-mile swim and 56-mile bike. Long Course Duathlon participants will race a 2-mile run, 56-mile bike and a second, 13.1-mile, run.

At Long Course National Championships, amateur athletes will race not only for national titles, but also for the chance to represent Team USA at the 2022 World Triathlon Age Group Championships for their respective disciplines.
