"It feels awesome (to win). I didn't get out as fast as I wanted to on the swim, so I knew I had to work hard on the bike. I ended up third off the bike and just pushed as hard as I could on the run," Meeder said. "There's a lot of really strong girls out here, so this feels awesome."

Draft-Legal National Championships
The 2025 USA Triathlon Collegiate Club National Championships kicked off on Friday, March 28 with the Draft-Legal Sprint National Championship races.
Edoardo Leone from the University of California Los Angeles defended his 2024 Draft-Legal National Championship title, winning his second consecutive title on Friday morning, while Clare Dasso from Queens University of Charlotte won the women’s Draft-Legal National Championship, her first Collegiate Club national title.
Athletes in the men’s and women’s Draft-Legal Sprint National Championship raced a 750-meter swim, 21-kilometer bike and 5k run, all inside the Speedway in a spring-fed lake, a closed-course bike and run and a finish at the iconic pit road and Victory Circle., All racers finished at the iconic pit road and victory circle.
Edoardo Leone won the men’s title in an incredible sprint finish, clocking a time of 52 minutes to successfully defend his 2024 win for the Bruins.
“I won the Draft-Legal race last year in Mission Viejo, but it probably felt even better to win again today,” said Leone. “When you come in with the expectations and you’re able to deliver, it’s always great! The final straightaway felt infinite and the run was very tough...but I [said] ‘if I could be with these guys with the finish line in sight, I’ve done enough on the track then I know no one can out-kick me.’ So as soon as I saw the finish line, I went.”
Mark Romano (U.S. Air Force Academy) placed second, just four seconds behind Leone, in 52:04, while Humberto Jenner (Wingate University) placed third in 52:09 to round out the men’s podium.
A sophomore, Dasso took the tape in the women’s Draft Legal National Championship in a time of 58:55.
"It feels really awesome [to win]. I love club triathlon, so I love getting to come out here,” said Dasso. “I love my team...club triathlon just has this amazing atmosphere that is so fun to come out...I ran down the finish line and was high-fiving everyone, it was awesome!”
Bella Chirafisi (Colorado State University) placed second in 59:30 and Maya Reilly (Duke University) placed third in 59:45.
