Join us this April for for four days of swimming, biking, running, community, and learning! The USA Triathlon Foundation AUXO Collective Training Camp is open to anyone 18 years of age or older and of all abilities, from beginner to Ironman champion, it’s the opportunity of a lifetime to train like an Elite athlete at top notch facilities!  While training at this action packed camp, you’ll train like an Elite athlete receiving coaching from USA Olympic and Paralympic level coaches and trainers that will prepare you for your best season yet.

Meet Your Coaches#

  • Katie Zaferes

    Katie Zaferes is an accomplished American professional triathlete from Hampstead, Maryland. She earned a silver and bronze medal for the United States in the triathlon at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, held in 2021. In addition to her Olympic success, Zaferes is the 2019 ITU World Triathlon Series women’s champion. She also achieved impressive results in previous years, finishing second overall in the 2018 ITU World Triathlon Series and third in 2017. Zaferes dominated the Super League Triathlon Championship Series, claiming victories in both 2018 and 2019, and securing third place in the 2021 series.

    After retiring from her professional triathlon career at the end of the 2024 season, Zaferes transitioned to a new role with USA Triathlon as a High-Performance Coach. She now heads AUXO Collective, a new high-performance triathlon development team based in North Carolina. As the team’s leader, Zaferes draws on her vast experience as a two-time Olympic medalist, 2019 World Champion, and USA Triathlon Certified Coach to guide the next generation of athletes.

  • Mark Allen

    Mark Allen is widely regarded as the greatest triathlete of all time, with an extraordinary record that includes six IRONMAN Triathlon World Championship titles, ten victories at the Nice International Triathlon, and a win at the inaugural Olympic Distance Triathlon Championship. Allen’s career is marked by an unparalleled two-year unbeaten streak, going undefeated in 21 races from late 1988 to 1990. His legendary achievements have earned him inductions into the IRONMAN, USA Triathlon, and International Triathlon Union Halls of Fame. In 2012, ESPN recognized him as The Greatest Endurance Athlete of All Time.

    Since retiring, Mark has dedicated his career to coaching athletes across all levels, while also sharing the invaluable lessons he learned about preparation, perseverance, and unlocking one’s full potential with teams, companies, and organizations around the world.

  • Tommy Zaferes

    After a successful swimming career that included competing at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials, Tommy Zaferes made the transition to elite triathlon in 2010, earning his pro card through an Elite Development Race (EDR). Over the next four years, he consistently competed on the ITU (now World Triathlon) World Cup and Pan American Cup circuits. Following this, Zaferes shifted his focus to a career as a triathlon photographer and digital marketer.

    In his role with USA Triathlon, Zaferes plays a key role in advancing the organization’s High-Performance initiatives, helping to implement innovative recruitment strategies aimed at identifying both able-bodied and para-athletes for the elite development pipeline.

  • Alicia Kaye

    Alicia Kaye began her international elite triathlon career at just 16 years old, earning a 14th-place finish at the World Cup in Corner Brook. Since 2010, she has proudly represented the United States on the international stage.

    In 2010, Kaye also competed in the prestigious French Club Championship Series, Lyonnaise des Eaux, representing Tri Club Châteauroux 36, a team known for featuring top international talent. During that season, she secured 18th place at the Triathlon de Paris (July 18, 2010) and 11th place at Tourangeaux (August 29, 2010), contributing to her team’s top finishes. In the official rankings, her nationality was listed as French due to her participation in the series.

    Kaye continued to excel in long-distance triathlon, notably competing in several Ironman 70.3 races in 2015, including events in Calgary, St. George, and Boulder. That same year, she earned a remarkable 5th place finish at the Ironman 70.3 World Championship.
