Safe Return to Multisport#

As the multisport community and endurance sports industry considers returning to racing again in 2020 and beyond, USA Triathlon has launched the Safe Return to Multisport initiative, a unified approach to work toward safely opening the sport to the public. These guidelines, recommendations and resources will help athletes, race directors, coaches, clubs and officials prepare for a return to racing while remaining consistent with guidance from federal, state and local authorities, and aligned with local circumstances.

Return to Racing Training Program
This program includes more than 25 FREE training plans, plus articles and videos designed specifically for athletes during this challenging time. Whether you’re looking to get from the couch to a 5K, training for your first standard distance duathlon, interested in building strength or are taking on 70.3, these plans have you covered.
Free training plans are only available to USA Triathlon Annual Members. If you are a member and would like to receive them, please email membership@usatriathlon.org. Become an annual member today for $50 to receive the training plans and support local race directors, coaches, clubs and other members of the multisport community.
Return to Racing Guidelines for Officiating #
The initiative has been developed in coordination with experienced race directors, medical experts, certified coaches, club directors, officials, athletes and endurance sport leaders while relying on fact-based recommendations from other expert resources such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, World Health Organization, Occupational Safety and Health Administration and utilizing sport-specific guidelines developed by the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee and the International Triathlon Union.
