Fun Things To Do in Omaha During Multisport Fest

USA Triathlon Multisport National Championships Festival Presented by Mutual of Omaha returns to the Gateway of the West! In less than 50 days, athletes from across the country with gather in Omaha, Nebraska, June 4-8, for five action-packed days of racing, camaraderie and celebration! With over 14 unique events to choose from, there's something for every athlete - from seasoned veterans to first-timers looking for a new race. You can find the list of events here.
Whether you're eyeing a duathlon, aquathlon, or one of the other race formats, this is your chance to challenge yourself, push your limits, and experience the power of the multisport community!

For the outdoorsy
Need to shake out your legs in between race days or want to go on a scenic walk? Omaha is home to hundreds of beautiful parks, trails and open spaces.
- Riverfront Trail- Located in the center of Omaha, this 20-mile trail runs right through downtown with must-sees like Bob the Bridge and Heartland of America Park.
- Glacier Creek Preserve- This stunning 525-acre preserve is full of the countryside’s rolling hills. It’s home to several trails and is a short 15-minute drive from Lake Cunningham.
- Standing Bear Lake- With a 10-minute drive from Multisport Fest, this recreation area trail is a 3.8-mile loop and perfect for all levels of athletes. With a playground, picnic areas, monuments, fishing and more, you are sure to see town locals here!
For the foodies
- Lisa’s Radial Cafe- Lisa’s is full of generous portions and reasonable prices in a relaxed and friendly environment. Enjoy the classic diner feel with American dishes including pancakes (famously known as their Killer Cakes), biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon and more.
- Mama’s Pizza- Recommended by USA Triathlon Event’s Manager and Omaha native Brad Hildebrandt, this staple restaurant has been in business for over 50 years! With starters, salads, sandwiches, house specials, pasta and pizza, you are sure to find something delicious on this menu for a casual sit-down dinner.
- Twisted Fork- Located in Omaha’s historic Old Market District, the Twisted Fork serves American comfort foods with a twist, blending midwestern hospitality with cowboy machismo. They are conveniently open for brunch on weekends, and lunch and dinner throughout the week, 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.
- Coneflower Creamery- Locally owned and made with farm-fresh ingredients, this ice cream shop brings you homemade classic and signature flavors. This is the perfect stop after a week of racing, made with love from farm to cone!
For the families
- Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium- With a blend of land and sea animals, the zoo and aquarium offers a fun and educational break during race week with your kiddos.
- Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge- Walk across this 3,000-foot long bridge that stretches across the Missouri River and you’ll find yourself in Iowa! Conveniently located near downtown Omaha, “Bob” connects you to all the fun in Omaha.
- The Old Market- Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the old district of Omaha with street musicians and entertainment. You can also find plenty of food options including pubs, steakhouses and quaint cafes, along with shops and boutiques.
