We asked triathletes what their spookiest and "scariest" triathlon moments were on and off the course. From bike fails to murky deep water, check out their spookiest triathlete moments below!

“Running out of T2 with my helmet on." -@susan_short

“Halfway through a 70.3 my front derailleur failed, and I was stuck in the small chainring for the rest of the ride!” - @xbaldylocksx

“Gosh, I snapped by rear derailleur coming out of transition once.” - @jessecheek

In addition to leaving on our helmet, we've also dealt with failed derailleurs.

“Having your repair kit eject from your rear bottle cage 5 miles into an Ironman, and only noticing because you see the empty cage as a shadow.” - @cammie_the_trinut
