COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The USA Triathlon Foundation announced today it is now accepting applications for the 2025 USA Triathlon Foundation Ambassador Team. A nationwide community of multisport athletes, the Ambassador Team is a group of dedicated individuals who are committed to both fundraising and advocacy for the USA Triathlon Foundation, the sport and multisport communities. The application window is open now.

Made up of multisport athletes who have a passion for giving back to their communities and spreading awareness about the virtues of multisport, the USA Triathlon Foundation Ambassador Team embodies the goals of the USA Triathlon Foundation: to support and promote the virtues of triathlon, and to open pathways for all to swim, bike, and run.

The 2024 USA Triathlon Foundation Ambassador Team set program records, having the largest team to date and is on its way to surpassing $100,000 in fundraising.

“Our USA Triathlon Foundation Ambassadors play an essential role in advancing the USA Triathlon Foundation’s mission to make triathlon accessible to everyone, regardless of background or ability,” said Lindsay Welker, Manager, Annual Fund and USA Triathlon Foundation Operations. “Their dedication to fundraising and advocacy fuels opportunities for youth, aspiring Olympians and Paralympians, and fosters a culture of inclusion within the sport. We are incredibly grateful for the passion and commitment they bring, and we look forward to the impact they will continue to make in the triathlon community in the year ahead.”

Ambassadors are asked to raise a minimum of $1,000 each for the USA Triathlon Foundation and help increase awareness of the multisport community. That funding will go toward deserving individuals and organizations in the multisport community in support of the foundation’s three pillars: Encourage Youth Participation, Inspire Pathways to Access and Inclusion, and Ignite Olympic and Paralympic Dreams.

Ambassadors will receive benefits at each fundraising level, including VIP access at USA Triathlon Sprint & Olympic-Distance National Championships and USA Triathlon Multisport National Championships Festival presented by Mutual of Omaha, and other exclusive items based on the level of fundraising. All ambassadors are required to make a $250 membership gift upon joining the team. With this gift, ambassadors receive a USA Triathlon Foundation Ambassador race kit, a USA Triathlon Foundation Ambassador t-shirt, a bag tag, ambassador stickers, pins, and fundraising material and collateral. Ambassadors will have the opportunity to connect and form a community with fellow ambassadors via bi-monthly town halls.

Throughout the season, ambassadors will also share the mission and vision of the foundation through personal stories on their social media channels and in their local communities.
