Application Criteria: Developed by USA Triathlon Foundation’s Chief Development Officer to emphasize academic achievement, athletic excellence, and exemplary character.
- Academic Achievement
- Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0
- Academic honors, awards, or distinctions.
- Relevant coursework or academic projects related to sports science, health, or community service.
- Recommendations from academic advisors or professors.
- Athletic Performance
- Competitive success in triathlon events (e.g., race results, rankings).
- Leadership roles within the triathlon team.
- Commitment to training, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
- Endurance, speed, and technical skills in swimming, cycling, and running.
- Volunteerism and Community Involvement
- Demonstrated commitment to community service related to sports, health, or education.
- Involvement in charitable events, fundraisers, or mentorship programs.
- Leadership roles in community service organizations.
- Volunteer hours dedicated to promoting health and fitness in the community.
