Paul Brandt
2024 World Triathlon Elections - Technical Committee
Paul Brandt has served with distinction as both an official in the USA Triathlon Officials Program as well as a leader in the World Triathlon and Draft Legal space. His desire to be elected to the World triathlon Technical Committee is driven by his passion for multisport, the officials and officiating, the athletes, and the LOCs he partners with. Paul was first certified as a USA Triathlon official in 2013 and joined the ranks of World Triathlon Certified Officials in 2015. He was asked to serve in coordinating officials assignments for USA Triathlon Draft Legal and World Triathlon events held in the United States in 2019 and has served in that leadership role since. In addition to his work with SAT, Paul served on the Para mixed relay working group as well as serving on the Americas triathlon (PATCO) Technical Committee.
Campaign Goals #
- My desire to be elected to the World triathlon Technical Committee is driven by my passion for multisport, the officials and officiating, the athletes, and the LOCs
- My interest in serving on the committee is buoyed by my passion for the Olympic movement as well as my interest in processes and procedures and their development. I will bring a deep understanding and commitment to collaborative work with likeminded passionate people with whom I would serve if elected.
- I want to make a difference; I want to continue helping move USA Triathlon rules and officiating into further global alignment as we look to LA28. This is not about me but rather about the sport and those we serve as part of the Olympic movement. It would be an honor if elected to serve my National Federation as a member of this important committee as we all work together to prepare for LA28
