Born with arthrogryposis amyoplasia, a muscular skeletal disorder that affects her lower limbs...Always participated in a variety of sports and began swimming at age 11 to combat chronic hip pain due to her bilateral hip dysplasia...Thanks to her coaches at her competitive swim team, who encouraged her and fed her competitive drive, she fell in love with the sport...At age 12, she competed in her first Para swimming event, the GTAC Disability Open and less than a year later she was named to the U.S. emerging team roster, and was a member of the 2014 Pan-Pacific roster...Lettenberger’s greatest swimming achievement to date is winning the silver medal in the 400-meter freestyle at the 2019 World Para Swimming Championships...Swims at the NCAA Division I level at Rice University in Houston, Texas...Hobbies include cooking, baking, movies, reading, spending time with friends and family...Daughter to Tom and Anna...Has two siblings Alex and Charlie...Has a black lab named Rocky
