2024 World Triathlon Elections - Legal & Constitution Committee Nominee

The sport of triathlon has been a life altering event in Sylvia’s life. Sylvia desires to use her unique experiences and skillset as a member of the Legal and Constitutional Committee to create an environment conducive to supporting all the athletes, coaches, race directors and officials involved in multi-sport events. Fair, transparent and easily implemented rules, regulations, policies and procedures are essential to maintain the integrity of the sport and expand participation. As a non-traditional athlete, Sylvia values the objective as a way to introduce the sport to a more diverse field of participants.

Campaign Goals #

  • To assist in the creation of an environment supportive of athletes, coaches and regulators involved in multi-sport events
  • To expand involvement in such events by fostering an atmosphere of inclusiveness
  • To introduce the sport to a more diverse field or participants
  • To contribute to the sport by assisting the Executive Committee in implementing sound policies and procedures and handling legal matters
